ChromeOS and Googlebook
In May 2026, Google introduced Googlebook, a new laptop category running Googlebook OS. ChromeOS stays for business and education: according to Google Admin Help, ChromeOS devices receive updates and security patches through mid-2034, and existing devices remain manageable in the Google Admin console. Centralized management for Googlebooks is set to start rolling out in the second half of 2027.
