The evidence requirement stays: what applies after the CMMC reform review

On 13 July 2026 the Department of War suspended the Phase 2 requirements of CMMC 2.0. What is suspended is the C3PAO assessment, not the obligation: the 110 controls from NIST SP 800-171 Rev. 2, the self-assessment with annual affirmation and the SPRS score still apply. Bastian Anthon and Philipp Grüter of ISEC7 and Philipp Wittek of Kiteworks show where the effort behind the evidence comes from. ISEC7 is not a C3PAO; the assessment itself sits with an accredited assessor.
