Secure data exchange in critical supply chains

Technical drawings, specifications, source code: anyone working on US defence contracts has to protect such data under DFARS 252.204-7012 and the 110 controls from NIST SP 800-171 Rev. 2, on every channel it leaves the building through. The suspension of the C3PAO assessment on 13 July 2026 did not change that. Bastian Anthon and Philipp Grüter of ISEC7 and Philipp Wittek of Kiteworks show how email, file sharing and SFTP can be brought under one set of controls. ISEC7 is not a C3PAO; the assessment itself sits with an accredited assessor.
