ISEC7 Endpoint Lifecycle Management

From onboarding to offboarding

Endpoint Lifecycle Management at ISEC7 covers a device's path from order to return: procurement, staging, delivery, replacement when something breaks, collection when an employee leaves, and management of devices, subscriptions, licenses and SIM cards. It is built for IT leaders and endpoint managers who roll out and support smartphones and tablets at scale. Devices arrive already enrolled in your UEM, whether you run BlackBerry, Ivanti, Microsoft, Samsung, Omnissa, Jamf or Google. ISEC7 has offered this service since 2020 and bundles procurement, replacement and logistics as ISEC7 DEVICE AS A SERVICE.

Asset management for devices, subscriptions, licenses and SIMs

IT asset management poses the challenge of maintaining an up-to-date inventory of hardware and software across diverse organizational units, each with its own procurement processes and lifecycles. Additionally, ensuring compliance with licensing agreements and security protocols demands meticulous tracking and coordination. Balancing cost-effectiveness with technological efficiency further complicates the management process, requiring constant adaptation to evolving needs and industry standards.

  • Hardware Asset Management
  • Subscription Management
  • App & License Usage Management

IT & TEM EXPENSE MANAGEMENT

Keeping track of IT and telecom costs

IT and telecom expense management tracks what you spend on hardware, software and telecom services. ISEC7 SPHERE imports the carrier's mobile bill, maps the line items to your cost centers, works out mobile costs per user and exports records to your billing and controlling systems. Cost center reports run on a schedule. Telecom expense management is an optional module.

ON & OFFBOARDING PROCEDURES

How do devices reach users ready to work?

The all-round rollout service for your device fleet: Your devices are fully prepared for use by our Service Desk team. Time-consuming function checks, OS updates or inclusion in UEM management through to the specified inventory are carried out by ISEC7 specialists trained in these activities.

You don't have to waste time on battery charging, cabling or applying protective films, ISEC7's Staging & Deployment also provides these services. The staging team also prepares rollouts of entire fleets. We will confirm the available capacity for your project.

Questions and answers

Frequently asked questions about Endpoint Lifecycle Management

What does staging mean for smartphones and tablets?

Staging is how a device is prepared before delivery: it is function-checked, its operating system is updated and it is enrolled in the UEM, so it reaches the user ready to work. At ISEC7, the service desk team does this for every device and then inventories it to your specification; it goes out to the user charged, with cables and a screen protector fitted.

What is device as a service?

With device as a service, a provider takes over procurement, provisioning, replacement and collection of endpoints as an ongoing service, instead of IT organizing these steps itself for every device. At ISEC7, this service is called ISEC7 DEVICE AS A SERVICE and bundles procurement, repair and replacement from an exchange pool, logistics for office and home office, and collection when an employee leaves. ISEC7 has offered the lifecycle service since 2020.

Which UEM platforms does ISEC7 work with during staging?

ISEC7 enrolls devices in UEM solutions from BlackBerry, Ivanti, Microsoft, Samsung, Omnissa, Jamf and Google. For Android, ISEC7 has held Android Enterprise Device Reseller and Android Enterprise Service Provider certification since 2021 and has been a certified reseller for Samsung Knox Native since 2025. If you want ISEC7 to run the UEM itself, that is a separate service under Endpoint Management.

What happens when a work phone breaks or gets lost?

A broken device has to be repaired or replaced, and a lost one should be locked as quickly as possible so that no unauthorized person gets to the data. ISEC7 repairs broken devices or replaces them from an exchange pool, and the replacement goes straight to the user's workplace, with an express option if needed. Users can lock a lost device themselves through the user self-service portal in ISEC7 SPHERE, which takes load off the service desk outside business hours.

Can employees order work phones themselves?

Yes, if there is an order portal connected to procurement. At ISEC7, the order portal runs in ISEC7 SPHERE, which also shows your device inventory; if procurement runs through your own processes, ISEC7 can connect to them.

How do remote employees get a new or replacement device?

If the device is set up in advance and enrolled in the UEM, it can go straight to the employee's home address, with no trip to the office. ISEC7 delivers new and replacement devices wherever the employee works, office or home office. Returning hardware when someone leaves is part of the same logistics.

What happens to a work phone when an employee leaves?

It is usually collected and erased before it is reissued, sold or recycled. ISEC7 collects the device; erasure and remarketing then run through ISEC7's device erasure and remarketing service: erasure with a log, followed by refurbishment, resale or recycling.

How do I keep track of company SIM cards and eSIMs?

You need an inventory that assigns every SIM card and eSIM to a device and a user. At ISEC7, SIM and eSIM management is part of asset management, alongside hardware, subscriptions and licenses. ISEC7 SPHERE runs reports on active SIM cards and the ratio of eSIM to physical SIM, and cost center reports can go out on a schedule.

What is telecom expense management?

Telecom expense management (TEM) captures the cost of mobile and telecom services and allocates it to cost centers and users, usually based on the carriers' bills. At ISEC7, TEM is an optional module: ISEC7 SPHERE imports the carrier's mobile bill, maps costs to your cost centers and works out costs per user. The records go to your billing and controlling systems.
