Secure Enterprise Browser with Chrome Enterprise Premium
Secure Enterprise Browser is ISEC7's service for rolling out, configuring and running Chrome Enterprise Premium, Google's security offering for the Chrome browser. It lets you decide what can be uploaded, downloaded, pasted or printed in the browser, which AI tools can be reached, and under which conditions a device gets access to web applications. According to Google, the rules apply to managed users even when the device or browser itself is unmanaged, and data protection rules are enforced on Windows, macOS, Linux and ChromeOS. Google makes Chrome Enterprise Premium; ISEC7 handles implementation, configuration, management and support.
Why an Enterprise Browser?
In today's modern workplace, employees increasingly access sensitive corporate data and SaaS applications via web browsers, making the browser a primary target for cybercriminals.
Conventional browsers often provide insufficient protection against targeted phishing attacks, malicious extensions, and unauthorized data exfiltration. A secure Enterprise Browser solves this problem by integrating security features such as separate work and personal browser profiles, strict access controls, and enhanced data protection directly into the application.
This enables organizations to work productively without compromising IT security or compliance requirements.
Security and productivity in the browser
Secure Enterprise Browser combines the security architecture
of Google Chrome Enterprise Premium with ISEC7's longstanding Managed Mobility expertise.
The result: a centrally managed browser whose rules you set yourself.
DLP
Data Loss Prevention
Rules control which content can be uploaded, downloaded, pasted or printed, and which sites can be visited. For each rule you decide: block, allow with a warning, or audit only, on personal devices too.
Context-aware
Zero Trust access
Access to web applications is checked against user identity, device state, country of origin and IP address, on managed and personal devices alike. The policy follows the user, not the network.
Real-time threat protection
Safe Browsing detects phishing sites, malware and malicious downloads. Premium adds category-based URL filtering and deeper malware scanning of files.
Centralized Browser Management
Manage browser configurations, extensions, and security policies for thousands of endpoints from a single console. Roll out updates, enforce settings and revoke access, for Chrome on Windows, macOS, Linux, iOS and Android.
Access only for devices that meet your requirements
Before access is granted, the policy checks OS version, encryption, password protection and your IT policy requirements. Devices that fall short are denied access.
Logs for your SIEM and your evidence
Detailed logs of access events, policy violations, and threat detections are sent to your SIEM through reporting connectors, for example Google Security Operations, Splunk or CrowdStrike Falcon. The logs show which rule applied and when, and feed into your own evidence.

✓Chrome management on Windows, macOS, Linux, iOS and Android, data protection rules on Windows, macOS, Linux and ChromeOS
✓Integrates with existing UEM environments (Intune, Omnissa, Ivanti)
✓Predefined detectors, for example for email addresses, IP addresses and credit card numbers
Surf securely in any situation
Work from Home
Employees working from home access intranet, SaaS applications, and confidential data, with context-aware verification, without VPN infrastructure.
On business trips
Even on open Wi-Fi at airports or hotels, DLP policies and Zero Trust access reliably protect corporate data from exfiltration.
In the enterprise
Strict policies restrict browser access to approved sites and applications. Unauthorized data transfers are blocked in real time.
In mixed device environments (BYOD)
Personal and managed devices are governed separately. Corporate data stays inside the secured browser profile, regardless of who owns the device.
Frequently asked questions about Secure Enterprise Browser and Chrome Enterprise Premium
What is an enterprise browser, and why would a company need one?
An enterprise browser is a centrally managed browser in which security rules apply where people work with web applications and SaaS services. IT decides what can be uploaded, downloaded, pasted or printed, and which devices get access to which applications. With Secure Enterprise Browser, ISEC7 rolls out Google's Chrome Enterprise Premium for this, with no separate security agent: according to Google, the protections are built into Chrome.
How do I stop employees from entering sensitive data into ChatGPT, Gemini or Copilot?
The technical lever is where the input happens, in the browser, with DLP rules for pasting and uploading on AI sites. With Secure Enterprise Browser, ISEC7 sets this up in Chrome Enterprise Premium; Google does not offer a ready-made "AI DLP" product, but it does document the building blocks. Through the "Generative AI" URL category, generally available since 18 July 2024, these rules apply to AI sites, and the "Gen AI & SaaS app usage" report shows which AI services such as chatgpt.com, claude.ai, gemini.google.com or copilot.microsoft.com are visited. Data masking, available only in Premium and through Google's extension of the same name, "Secure Enterprise Browser", masks sensitive content in prompts and responses; according to Google it does not cover content inside iframes.
How can I prevent data leaks through the browser, such as uploads, copy and paste or printing?
With data loss prevention in the browser: rules control which content can be uploaded, downloaded, pasted or printed, and which sites can be visited. In Chrome Enterprise Premium, which ISEC7 sets up and runs as Secure Enterprise Browser, you decide for each rule: block, allow with a warning, or audit only. Predefined detectors, for example for email addresses, IP addresses and credit card numbers, are available.
How do I protect company data on personal devices without MDM?
Without MDM you cannot control the device, but you can control the account and the browser people work in. According to Google, Chrome Enterprise Premium "is applied to managed users whether or not the device or browser is managed", and ISEC7 sets up the rules for this with Secure Enterprise Browser. On top of that, you can block screenshots and screen sharing and show a watermark when specific pages are opened on Windows, macOS, iOS and Android.
How do I allow access to web apps only from devices that meet our security requirements?
With context-aware access: before access is granted, a policy checks identity, device state, OS version, encryption, password protection, country of origin and IP address, and denies access if the device falls short. Chrome Enterprise Premium includes this check, and ISEC7 builds the rules for your environment with Secure Enterprise Browser. On the desktop this requires Chrome, because other browsers cannot verify those requirements and, according to Google, are blocked.
How do I get browser security events into my SIEM, such as Splunk or Google Security Operations?
Browser management exports the events to the SIEM; in Chrome Enterprise Premium this runs through Google's reporting connectors. Documented destinations include Google Security Operations, Splunk, CrowdStrike Falcon LogScale and Next-Gen SIEM, Palo Alto Networks, Google Cloud Pub/Sub and ChromeOS XDR. Premium logs the event types Content transfer, Content unscanned, Sensitive data transfer and URL filtering, and for uploads it records the attempt; ISEC7 sets up the connection as part of Secure Enterprise Browser.
Is a secured browser enough for NIS2 or GDPR?
No, a browser does not create compliance; it is the point where a rule takes effect and where evidence is produced. With Secure Enterprise Browser, the Chrome Enterprise Premium logs show which rule applied and when, and you can take them into your own evidence. Which measures your organization needs, and for what, is your decision.
What is the difference between Chrome Enterprise Core and Chrome Enterprise Premium?
Core is the central management layer for Chrome and, according to Google, free of charge; Premium is the paid tier with the protection features. With Core you manage Chrome on Windows, macOS, Linux, iOS and Android. According to Google, Premium adds data loss prevention, including controls for unsanctioned AI tools, context-aware access, category-based URL filtering, deeper malware scanning of files and the Evidence Locker.
Does Chrome Enterprise Premium work on iPhone and Android?
Management yes, data protection rules only in part. Google documents Premium's DLP rules for Windows, macOS, Linux and ChromeOS. On iOS and Android, Google documents one Premium feature: pages caught by a rule when visited can be protected against screenshots and screen sharing. A rule in the browser applies in the browser; email in a separate app on the work phone is outside its reach.
