What exactly is this Mobile Security Card?
G&D´s Mobile Security Card is a microSD™ card with flash memory and integrated Common Criteria EAL 5+ certified SmartCard chip. The flash memory, the Mobile Security Card contains a secure element and therefore all functions of a classic SmartCard. Thanks to a Java card operating system on the chip, diverse software applications can be used with the Mobile Security Card.
Since more than 500 million smartphones have a microSD™ connection (trend is rising), the Mobile Security Card is the ideal solution in order to integrate mobile devices into the security concept of a company.
External SmartCard solutions become a thing of the past
The microSD™ format is the most widespread form factor for memory cards in smartphones and mobile telephones. The Mobile Security Card can be plugged into the device and make external SmartCard reader unnecessary. With a corresponding adapter the Mobile Security Card can also be used in devices that have a miniSD™ or SD™ card slot.
