b2ap3_thumbnail_samsung_sds.jpgWith their cooperation, ISEC7 and Samsung SDS react to the growing demand for integral solutions to secure and manage mobile end devices in companies.

ISEC7 and Samsung SDS cooperate in the area of Enterprise Mobility Management (EMM). As of now, ISEC7 will market the Samsung SDS Enterprise Mobility Management Platform in Germany, Austria, UK and Switzerland.

Samsung SDS EMM offers Government Grad Security Level for mobile devices as well as for applications and data. The Samsung „Secure Communication Channel“ allows companies to exchange mobile information within their infrastructure – in a secure, highly available and quick way – also via Samsung’s On-Premise Private Push Service. The Samsung EMM refrains from embedding third party solutions. All solution components are exclusively developed in-house with internal development resources. Therefore, Samsung SDS provides the first fully integrative, continuous Android based mobile end-to-end solution. Thus, PIM-/email data and also mobile processes can be adapted through predefined interfaces to various legacy systems.

With the Samsung SDS EMM, a company’s complete Mobile Security for Android, iOS devices and WindowsPhone* can be efficiently managed through one Administration Console. Besides enhanced security, the employees’ productivity will be increased - thanks to customised security guidelines and a user interface matching the user’s experience level.

Samsung SDS combines three components to ensure mobile security in one integral EMM: Mobile Device Management (MDM), Mobile Application Management (MAM) or Mobile Information Management (MIM). Besides its Best-in-Class Integration of Samsung KNOX (Samsung Electronics’ security solution for mobile devices), the EMM’s highlight features are: Samsung’s secure email client, a secure Internet browser and Samsung’s „Private Push Service“, which allows to wave the Google Push Service. Thus, the Samsung SDS EMM corresponds to the US Department of Defense’s security standards for mobile devices.

ISEC7 Group AG today announced that it has signed an agreement which sees Berkley Technical Services Limited become a wholly owned subsidiary of the ISEC7 Group.

With the agreement to merge, ISEC7 and Berkley strengthen their global reach and market presence in the UK. Together, the two companies offer a greater level of service and support to their international customers. The merger creates an excellent platform on which to enhance marketing and sales of ISEC7 products through a UK subsidiary.

The companies have been operating under a Strategic Partnership since 2014 selling ISEC7 products and services. The UK business will continue to be managed by the Berkley Board of Directors.

“ISEC7 and Berkley Technical Services are a strong combined force, employees of both companies have extremely high quality standards. The presence of our company in the UK reflects our global growth strategy”, says Marco Gocht, CEO ISEC7 Group AG.

Karl Graves, Director Berkley Technical Services explains: “The merger of Berkley into the ISEC7 group enables Berkley’s existing and future customers to benefit from a greater portfolio of products and services, as well as offering a truly global managed mobility service. This is an exciting time for everyone involved at Berkley.”

b2ap3_thumbnail_wdox.png BlackBerry today announced that it has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire WatchDox Ltd. to further enhance BlackBerry’s best-in-class mobile security and give enterprises unmatched control over their files even after data leaves the corporate network. WatchDox’s technology will be offered as a value-added service that complements BlackBerry’s Enterprise Mobility Management (EMM) portfolio, and will be available with BES12, a multi-OS EMM solution.

WatchDox is a data security company offering the most secure enterprise file-sync-and-share (EFSS) solutions that allow users to protect, share and work with their files on any device(1). WatchDox security travels with shared files on both mobile and desktop devices to give organizations full visibility and control over how files are edited, copied, printed or forwarded. The solution also allows end users to revoke access or delete files remotely, enables secure mobile productivity for repositories both in the cloud and on premises, and gives administrators the ability to lock or remove access to files compromised in a data breach.

The addition of WatchDox will extend BlackBerry’s commitment to help organizations securely connect employees with each other and with corporate information across all mobile and desktop platforms. BES12 is the foundation for BlackBerry’s extensive portfolio of enterprise security, productivity, and communication and collaboration services.

“BlackBerry is constantly expanding the potential of data security so that it enables more collaboration and sharing rather than creating limitations,” said John Chen, BlackBerry Executive Chairman and CEO. “This acquisition represents another key step forward as we transition BlackBerry into the premier platform for secure mobile communications software and applications, supporting all devices and operating systems. Together with last year’s Secusmart acquisition, Samsung partnership, our own internal development efforts, and now the acquisition of WatchDox, we now have capabilities to secure communications end-to-end from voice, text, messaging, data and now enterprise file-sync-and share.”
