ISEC7 joined the BlackBerry workshop on developing with Qt and QNX last week in Hanover. The full-day workshop provided Engineering Architects and Program Managers a thorough understanding of the entire development process using QNX and Qt, transforming a “napkin sketch” into working code on a device running a real-time embedded operating system. This experience and knowledge will help ISEC7 to analyze upcoming business opportunities and move the company portfolio forward into to IoT (Internet of Things) world. ISEC7's BlackBerry Elite developer Simon took the opportunity to "play"  with our new development hardware.

b2ap3_thumbnail_andrioid-work.png With the release of Android Lollipop and AndroidTM for Work, Google has made great strides toward improving security and reducing fragmentation — two of the biggest CISO concerns about the platform. In addition to enabling secure app deployment to Android devices, Lollipop and Android for Work offer advanced security features such as key binding, SELinux sandbox reinforcement, Smart Lock, restricted profiles for multiple users, automated OS updates, and more. This is especially great news for organizations in highly regulated industries such as healthcare, retail, public sector, and financial services, because these and other capabilities can help simplify ongoing compliance requirements.

This white paper is intended to help CISOs understand how Lollipop and Android for Work can meet the standards of regulations such as HIPAA, HITECH, HIT, and PCI for mobile transactions. It also provides recommendations for implementing Lollipop and Android for Work as part of a bring-your-own-device (BYOD) program.

b2ap3_thumbnail_samsung_sds.jpgWith their cooperation, ISEC7 and Samsung SDS react to the growing demand for integral solutions to secure and manage mobile end devices in companies.

ISEC7 and Samsung SDS cooperate in the area of Enterprise Mobility Management (EMM). As of now, ISEC7 will market the Samsung SDS Enterprise Mobility Management Platform in Germany, Austria, UK and Switzerland.

Samsung SDS EMM offers Government Grad Security Level for mobile devices as well as for applications and data. The Samsung „Secure Communication Channel“ allows companies to exchange mobile information within their infrastructure – in a secure, highly available and quick way – also via Samsung’s On-Premise Private Push Service. The Samsung EMM refrains from embedding third party solutions. All solution components are exclusively developed in-house with internal development resources. Therefore, Samsung SDS provides the first fully integrative, continuous Android based mobile end-to-end solution. Thus, PIM-/email data and also mobile processes can be adapted through predefined interfaces to various legacy systems.

With the Samsung SDS EMM, a company’s complete Mobile Security for Android, iOS devices and WindowsPhone* can be efficiently managed through one Administration Console. Besides enhanced security, the employees’ productivity will be increased - thanks to customised security guidelines and a user interface matching the user’s experience level.

Samsung SDS combines three components to ensure mobile security in one integral EMM: Mobile Device Management (MDM), Mobile Application Management (MAM) or Mobile Information Management (MIM). Besides its Best-in-Class Integration of Samsung KNOX (Samsung Electronics’ security solution for mobile devices), the EMM’s highlight features are: Samsung’s secure email client, a secure Internet browser and Samsung’s „Private Push Service“, which allows to wave the Google Push Service. Thus, the Samsung SDS EMM corresponds to the US Department of Defense’s security standards for mobile devices.
